On the last Tuesday of each month we hold a Match Night. A Match night is a great way for owners and their dogs to become familiar with the show ring in a less formal and less stressful environment. It is usually judged by a person independent of the ringcraft class, perhaps a well known Judge or someone keen to start out on their judging career.

To compete in the Match proper, you must be a fully paid up member of Chichester & District Canine Society, your dog must be registered in your name with the Kennel Club and be 6 months of age or over (for younger dogs please see the Puppy Walk below). Dogs, which have won a Challenge Certificate or obtained any award that counts towards the title of Champion under the rules of any governing body recognised by the Kennel Club, are not eligible for entry in matches. The Best Adult and Best Puppy in Match from each month's competition are then eligible to compete against each other for the title of "Chichester & District Canine Society Dog of the Year" and "Chichester & District Canine Society Puppy of the Year" at our Christmas Party in December.
